What Collaboration means to me and why it is so important.
Collaboration:
the action of working with someone to produce or create something.
Create:
bring (something) into existence.
For me whenever I collaborate, which is more and more often now, I find myself creating standards around what is to be expected, not just from those I collaborate with but even more importantly what I expect from myself.
When someone offers for you to collaborate with them the most important thing is to make sure it is not just a good fit but a great fit. Here is what I mean by that, we need to be sure that our base values are very similar. That we are both dedicated to making it a successful. Especially where bigger online events are concerned. If you agree to being part of an event then you must dive in with both feet. It is hard work for eveyone right? The benefits when everyone does do the work and shows up can be outstanding. And that is what is was like in our FBGroup during Be Camera Ready Now, the connections and future collaborations being made has just been so exciting. The way the members support and encourage each other is just wonderful. We had so much fun. But, let's talk about what is currently on the horizon.
Collaborations can open many new doors for you and lead you to some incredible opportunities and friendships. What are you waiting for,start collaborating now. Here are some tips to get you on your way.
- get active in Facebook groups where other fempreneurs hang out and see what relationships can be formed.
- research what other businesses would make a great complement to your business and start there.
- start with something easy like a joint workshop and move on from there.
- perhaps do a joint challenge and see what happens.
- make an offer for someone to be featured on your blog, podcast or yolutube video.
